It’s quite hard to believe that it’s November….and Thanksgiving is only a few days away. But it is. I spent so
me time this morning thinking back on the journey Everyday Helper has had this year and I wanted to give thanks for it.
I am beyond thankful for my amazing friends and family who have supported me from the start. It wasn’t easy dreaming up this idea while keeping it a secret and then suddenly announcing it to others. I had no idea what they’d think. Turns out, I worried for nothing. They were all supportive of me, and of my new journey. Since officially starting the business late August this year, they’ve continued to support me in any way they can and for that, I am thankful.
I am incredibly thankful for my clients. They not only trusted me, they allowed me into their homes, and into their lives. And I am thankful and blessed for that. I love helping others, and I love getting to know my clients. I have some of the best clients around! It’s also pretty awesome when they start referring you to their friends!
I am thankful for the community. Since starting my business I’ve had the chance to get out into the community and meet others. Although I tend to be more of an introvert, I will admit, it’s been fun! I love meeting others and doing my part to help the community. Since August I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting many fellow small business owners. I’ve enjoyed hearing their stories, learning about their business, and also gaining some helpful advice!
Lastly, I’m thankful for this journey as a whole. Although I’ve dreamed of owning my own business for years, I’m still in shock sometimes that Everyday Helper really exists. While it may look like it’s been a smooth sailing process, it has been anything but. I can’t even count how many late nights I’ve spent up working on growing my business. It has taken a lot more time and effort than I ever imagined. In the end though, I wouldn’t trade a single moment of the journey so far.
THANK YOU to all who have been a part of my journey with Everyday Helper! I am truly thankful for you all! I can’t wait to see where the business goes in 2016, but I hope you’ll stick around for the journey!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Kelly
